Beyond Good and Evil 2 Requires Constant Internet Connection

Ubisoft dazzled us recently with a new gameplay of Beyond Good and Evil 2, one of its most ambitious projects in development. Through a publication on the page of the game, the company answered some questions from the community and revealed some interesting facts.
Thanks to this we know that Beyond Good and Evil 2 will require a constant connection to the Internet. For many fans, this information is a big surprise, because not everyone expected the game to give such importance to the online factor.
One player questioned the company about whether the connection would be required even while playing alone. Given this, Ubisoft described Beyond Good and Evil 2 as an online multiplayer title, where cooperative mechanics will be important.
The development team clarified that it will be possible to play alone at any time, so the multiplayer cooperative options will be optional. Despite this, the Internet connection will be necessary in order to play.
“Beyond Good and Evil 2 is an online, multiplayer game with a rich co-op and seamless experience. As such, the game will only be playable with an internet connection in order to have seamless navigation, receive dynamic updates, and play with friends,” Ubisoft wrote.
The news could make us rethink many things about the final concept that the game will have during its launch. The presence of an online component, apparently robust, suggests that there will be events and activities of various types for the game.
The studio has not defined for now what will be its strategy for this section of the title, because it is still in an initial stage of development. For now, there is nothing left to do but wait for its Beta to be carried out at the end of next year.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 does not yet have a confirmed release date.
