On September 7, a report suggested that Bethesda had a secret game they would reveal sometime this year. Now, the company’s vice president of marketing, Pete Hines, mentioned that it was a false news.
Hines was present at PAX West 2017 and there he had a talk with the YouTube channel Tek Syndicate, where he commented that they have a game that will come this year and that they have not talked about it to anyone.
However, time later he talked about this on Twitter and made it clear that Bethesda does not plan to announce anything later this year. “I probably just had a concussion from the beating I took online and was rambling. Ignore,” Hines talked on his official Twitter account that you can see at the bottom of this news.
So, there is no game to announce, because everything was a misunderstanding. Surely fans will be disappointed, but it is better to know the truth. On the other hand, you should keep in mind that Bethesda has been working on 5 projects in secrets and 2 of them are huge, so it’s only a matter of time to get to know the new games in the studio.
In addition, in the remainder of the year, Bethesda will launch several games. Fans of the company will enjoy The Evil Within 2, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, Skyrim for Nintendo Switch, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, DOOM VFR, and Fallout 4 VR.
