It is with the tweet of Bayonetta 2 director that the fans start to expect the arrival of a third installment.
Like the first episode, Bayonetta 2 was a great critical success which saw low sales on Wii U. The players are however tied to the character, especially in Europe, since Bayonetta was chosen to join the cast of Super Smash Bros. in 2016 following a survey from the fans of Nintendo.
It’s probably for the result of this survey that Yusuke Hashimoto, director of the second episode, thanked the players to show as much support to Bayonetta. He adds in that a second sentence that we must wait to see what is coming.
Has Hashimoto mentioned only the presence of the character in Super Smash Bros. or is it a first teaser of Bayonetta 3? One can imagine without difficulty that the title of Platinum Games would be a great asset in launching games for a certain Nintendo NX.
This is not entirely accurate confirmation that Bayonetta 3 is in development, but this little hint proves that the franchise is not yet finished. One has to wonder whether Bayonetta 3 will be exclusive to Nintendo NX only. In the end, the NX console will need more games to run. New Bayonetta will be able to encourage people to buy NX, when it comes out.
Thank you everyone for showing Bayonetta so much support. Please continue to look forward to what’s to come!
