One of the best surprises that came from The Game Awards 2017 was the announcement of Bayonetta 3 which is in development and will come to Nintendo Switch exclusively.
Reggie Fils-Aimé has taken the stage to announce that Platinum Games and Nintendo are working on Bayonetta 3 and that it is being developed exclusively for Nintendo Switch. A few seconds before, we had seen a trailer of the Witch with Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 that will also be available on the Nintendo console.
For now, we do not have more details or information about this new title of Bayonetta 3, only a small teaser that has been shown in The Game Awards and in which we have been able to see the characteristics of the witch’s boots.
It is expected that in the coming weeks or at Nintendo Direct new information about the game will be shown. Maybe a new hairstyle change, for the charismatic heroine to show us her intentions?
Of course, the exclusivity of Bayonetta 3 for Nintendo Switch has been a notification for the users of the Nintendo console, but it is clear that it is not too surprising, given that a similar move was made in the past: Bayonetta 2 was an exclusive game of Wii U at the time, a console that also received a special edition of the first title of the franchise. We are looking forward to learning more about the new title of Platinum Games!
Since no gameplay video or trailer was shown (apart from the teaser trailer published at the end of this article), we assume that Bayonetta 3 is at an early stage of development.
