Battlefield 5: DICE Doesn’t Rule Out Battle Royale Mode in The Future
Some rumors claimed that DICE was preparing a Battle Royale mode for Battlefield 5. However, in its official presentation, which took place yesterday, there were no specific details about it. Thus, there is still doubt about whether this mode will be implemented in the future.
For many, the arrival of a Battle Royale mode to Battlefield 5 would be more than welcome, especially for the setting of the game. Given this, Andreas Morrel, the producer of DICE, spoke a little about the subject.
Before you get excited, you should know that Morrel said that, at the moment, they have nothing to announce about it. However, the creative said that the arrival of the mode would make sense in the new title.
“It’s hard to miss the battle royale frenzy that’s ongoing. We’re all very much fans of it, back at DICE, and we’re definitely looking to see how Battlefield can explore the Battle Royale genre,” Morrel said.
From their perspective, the producer believes that they have everything necessary for this type of game. So, it is a “natural fit” for Battlefield V. Despite this, Morrel did not fully confirm the implementation of the Battle Royale in the new installment.
However, DICE may well be preparing a surprise. The company will show in action the multiplayer of Battlefield V in EA Play 2018, an event that will be held from 9 to 11 June. We will have to wait to see if the title will join the fashion of pitched battles in any way.
Battlefield 5 will arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 19. DICE also confirmed that there will be no Premium Pass for this title.
