Battlefield 5 Is Under Development

The Dice and EA teams are working on the next Battlefield: a recent job announcement highlights the need for a new Senior Producer.

It’s not a secret that EA and the development team of Dice are thinking about the next chapter of Battlefield. The 2017 autumn window, with Battlefield 1 still so solid on the market and with the release of Star Wars Battlefront 2, allowed the publisher and the software house to grant the now-usual sabbatical cycle to the first person shooter series, but the times are definitely ripe to be able to talk about a new chapter: in this regard, the ongoing development of an elusive Battlefield 5 could be rather official.

As already mentioned, it is not a secret that the development team of Dice are thinking about the next chapter in the Battlefield series, and it appears that the work is currently underway – which is natural if the game were to come out in the second half of 2018. Apparently, in fact, the software house is looking for new developers to add to the team, as evidenced by a job announcement published recently on the official website: the team living in Stockholm, in fact, is looking for a Senior Producer who can work on the shooter in the first person with a warlike background.

The announcement of work by the developers of the possible Battlefield 5 obviously requires a series of important requirements: among these we note the need for someone who has an “excellent understanding of the current shooter market and competition”, so as an experience that can boost the production of at least three Triple-A video games for console and PC hardware.

“We are now looking for a Senior Producer to join one of our teams on the Battlefield franchise. As the Senior Producer, you will be the primary owner of the project and you will report to the franchise Executive Producer. Our ideal candidate has a strong passion for console and PC gaming in general and shooters in particular. You should also have a track record of shipping several AAA titles in a product owner/producer role,” the statements can be read on its official website.
