Although the DICE team in charge of the Battlefield series is already working on the next installment, the support for Battlefield 1 remains and there is still much to enjoy as in the next few months maps belonging to its first DLC and a variant of the Operations mode will be released. It will arrive in a few weeks.
Today, DICE announced that the maps of Battlefield 1’s first DLC, They Shall Not Pass, will be available to all users even if they have not purchased the downloadable content. That is why from now on you can play on the Brecha map, a scenario set in the second battle of Marne and that will start with the monthly release of this type of content.
On the other hand, DICE also revealed that a new update will arrive in June that will bring with it a variant of the Operations mode, called Shock Operations. According to the studio, the variant will offer more intense and focused action to develop only on a map, where 40 players, divided between attack and defense groups, must take possession of each sector.
Likewise, DICE informed that Shock Operations will be available for all players on Giant’s Shadow, Prise de Tahure, Lupkow Pass, Zeebrugge, and River Somme maps, which were reserved for premium users.
Finally, the studio revealed that the monthly updates of Battlefield 1 will end, with that frequency, in June, which does not mean the end of the support, but that the arrival of content will not operate under the same structure.
Battlefield 1 is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
