Atlus Confirms To Be Working on Persona 6
After the arrival of Persona 5 and the waiting by users for the publication of Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5: Dancing Star Night, Atlus has confirmed that it has started working on the next major chapters of the franchise, which will include also Persona 6.
Kazuhisa Wada of Atlus Japan was interviewed on the new issue of Dengeki PlayStation and on this occasion he confirmed that the company has started working on the next episode of the series, tentatively titled Persona 6.
“We are working on mid-to-long term plan, including new numbered entries, so that fans can continue to enjoy the Persona series after this year. We will engage in more collaboration projects. Persona Dancing downloadable content will continue until August. free DLC will be distributed weekly,” these are the words of Wada, thus confirming the existence of the next regular chapter of the series, in addition to the already announced Person Q2 spin-off, Persona 3 Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5 Dancing Star Night.
At the moment, unfortunately, there are no other details on Persona 6, in the past, Atlus declared to want to ” expand the number of reference platforms,” suggesting a possible launch not only on Sony consoles but also on PC and Nintendo Switch.
Persona 5 has sold over 2.2 million copies worldwide, becoming one of the most popular games in the series, a success that has amazed even the developers themselves and the publisher, especially as regards to sales in the West, well-exceeding expectations.
