Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Crash Fix:

Game crash is one of the most common issues. You will get an error message as ACS.exe has stopped working after the game crash. There is some simple workaround that you can try to resolve the issue given below:

  1. Check the Minimum System Requirements before launching the game. Turn of background processes through Task Manager.
  2. Launch Steam > Game Library > Right click on Assassin’s Creed Syndicate > Local > Verify Game Cache. If this does not help uninstall the game, and then reinstall it back. And before launching Verify Game Cache once.
  3. Check any updates for Games if any that would help in fixing the issue.
  4. Update your video drivers. Nvidia has released Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Game Ready Drivers for better performance. Just click the above link and install it. And then test the output.
  5. Sometime the issue is due to high graphics properties. The game will not be able to optimize settings due to some issue. For that you have to delete AC.ini file. This file is located in C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Instead of deleting just cut/paste the file somewhere else on your desktop and launch the game back. You can also modify the game resolution through this file. Go in DisplayWidth=1280, DisplayHeight=720 and reduce this to 1280×720. And then start the game.
  6. If you are using Uplay then exit the game first. And then right click on UPlay and choose Run as Administrator.

ACS.exe Stopped Working Solution:

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has another major issue that is reported by many users. It is ACS.exe stopped working. There are some small workaround below that would help you in fixing the issue.

  1. Turn of your antivirus software first. And then try back.
  2. Disable unwanted programs from startup. Click on Start and in the Search box type Run. Then type msconfig. Go in Startup and turn off unwanted services.
  3. Turn off any software that overclocks the system. Also disable screen recorder.
  4. Install the latest version of DirectX and VC++ in your system. Verify the version before installation.
  5. Reason behind crash is game Asseto Corsa if you had played this before. A very informative solution from Steam forums. You have to go in Nvidia Inspector first. And there you have to go in Asseto Corsa Profile and then you have to remove acs.exe. Then you have to go in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Profile and then you have to remove acs.exe and then you have to re-add this manually and test back. Skip this step if you had not played Asseto Corsa.

 Assassin’s Creed Syndicate No Sound:

  • In some cases there will be issue with sound. For that you have to update to the latest audio drivers in your pc. You can do that by running the latest motherboard drivers available on its manufacturer’s website.

  • *solution to crashes both start and in game for pc*

Been searching this threads and found the solution by putting things together here and there, and after a few sites tried to get me to download fake fix files with trojan horse viruses. Well here is the solution to fixing it. please follow it step by step since all parts are important and skipping one will make the game still crash for you. If it works or should not work for you it would be appreciated if you take 1 min and post a post under saying that this solution either works or not for others, in return for making your game work:) Sorry for the very details in this, but not all are as good as others with pc’s:)

Here are the step, follow them all.

    1. If you are using nvidia graphic card then download the new driver 359.0 from your geforce experience program. This is made specific for this game and are not out yet on all the driver update programs out there.

    2. Restart your pc.

    3. Right click your uplay (ubisoft) icon on your desktop and select run as administrator

    4. In the uplay program click options ( 3 bars up to the left of screen )
and choose settings, in general there click “off” the overlay options for compatible games.

If you run this true uplay only you can stop here and it wil work, if you use uplay true steam ( bought the game on steam ) then go on with next steps to.

    5. Right click your steam icon on desktop and choose run as administrator.

    6. In steam press on ” steam ” in your upper left side of the screen and choose settings.

    7. Choose the in game option and click off the option with activating steam overlay in games.

    8. Start the game from your library in steam ( not from desktop icon )

Next time you whant to play just right click steam again and run as admin and start the game from your steam library and it will be fine then too

Please post replay with if this has helped you / not helped you so other people know too:). and feel free to copy/paste/edit this to other sites if this worked for you.

See you guys in London 😉

  • Non of these “fixes” have worked for me – get to the end of 3rd (on top of train vs, Kaylock) and game crashes (acs.exe has stopped working). Got it past once but crashed again soon after. I give up – this game is defective and Ubisoft are incompetent thiefs. They sure took my preorder money but cannot give me a game capable of being played. This is a system I built earlier this year so it is more than capable of playing every other game I have tried with no problems including Assassin’s Creed Black Flag at high FPS with no lagging. Syndicate however is crap – and it was the episode I had most been looking forward to. Goodbye Ubisoft. You and I are done.

  • if you are crashing during the first gang fight on the train, the solution is literally to just do it as fast as you can and skip the cutscene before it can crash. therefore, just run past the henchman, kill the boss as fast as you can, then skip the cutscene and you should be good to go

  • hi everyone the game is crashing during the first gang fight on the train ACS. EXE what can i do , is there any a solution?

  • I have tried many times this way LG but i can’t…

During the fight on train gang it has been giving ACS EXE crash would it be any solution such as patch, new a crack?

  • I Have tried LG’s trick and it works. but there are many points in the game where the exe gets crashed….

  • Same issue here. Winning the fight on the train and then… ASC stops working 🙁 No solution from Ubisoft at all

  • It works but let’s be honest. That is NOT how you play a 60 dollar game! Maybe Ubisoft disagree

  • I only get as far as the first Animus loading screen & ACS.exe stops working. Had 3 live chats with Ubisoft, who even asked me to install on another computer to see if it was the game or my computer… EXACTLY the same crash issue. Awesome. Thanks Ubisoft.

  • My laptop have windows 7 with Intel graphics i 3 generation .I install my game then start it but sometime after starting it doesn’t work because of my graphics setting ….please tell me solution.
😥😥😥😥😥😥Plz.. remember it my window is 7 and problem of graphics setting as tell by the game.
