Rumor: Assassin’s Creed 2019 Will Take Place in Ancient Greece
As it has happened throughout the history of the franchise, the information related to the titles of Assassin’s Creed begins with a series of rumors or leaks and after the release of Assassin’s Creed: Origins it is logical to think that the new game is in development. We tell you this because a report refers interesting information about the new installment of the series.
According to a report by ComicBook, with information obtained from anonymous sources related to Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed 2019 will take place in Ancient Greece and resume the work that was done a few years ago during the development of what we know today as Assassin’s Creed: Origins.
To give us an idea, the report indicates that during the early stage of development of Assassin’s Creed: Origins there were 2 historical epochs that were being taken into account: Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece. At some point in the development, it was decided that Ancient Egypt would be the location of the new installment of the series and the work done with respect to Greece would be saved for the next installment.
In addition, the sources mentioned that Assassin’s Creed 2019, which will take place in Ancient Greece, began with its production phase at the beginning of 2017 and will arrive on PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2019.
At the beginning of 2018, a rumor was spread that indicated the key name of the next Assassin’s Creed, Dynasty, and this was interpreted as an approach to the time of the dynasties in China or those of the Ottoman Empire. However, should this new rumor become reality, it could be a change of plans such as the one that happened in the development of Assassin’s Creed: Origins and it is possible that the aforementioned historical locations have been reserved for the best occasion.
