The Dishonored franchise is famous for its beauty, history and characters, with some experts who are murderers. However, the creative director of the game, Harvey Smith, said that players can play Dishonored 2 “without killing a single person.”
Arkane Studios, the team behind the development of this sequel, has implemented a series of improvements to combat a unique experience.
The recombination of powers to make more powerful attacks, which even the developers themselves had expected, now joins the fact that, directly, there is no need to kill anyone.
Harvey Smith has spoken about the design levels during QuakeCon 2016. In this sense, the director said that players could perform the tasks in different ways.
“Each mission is like a mini open-world, right? That’s what we like, we like to do the mission style so we can leave it behind and go to a totally new setting, but while you are in it, it”s very open and non-linear” said Smith. “You can play high-chaos or low-chaos, even as Corvo, you can invest in one set of powers or another set of powers. You can play very violently, or very stealthily. You can literally play without killing a single person.”
Dishonored 2 will even have a mode in which players will not have powers at all, and it is called “Flesh and Steel”. The game will arrive on November 11 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
