Anthem Solo Play Confirmed Along With Multiplayer Support
Since we saw Anthem, we knew that the title would focus on online multiplayer mechanics. However, BioWare wants you to know that your project will not only offer a multiplayer experience.
Casey Hudson, the head of the studio, shared new details on Anthem through a blog post on BioWare. The creative said that the title will allow players to become the heroes of their story.
Hudson also highlighted the multiplayer factor, which will be quite relevant in the title. The community still has some doubts about how this section of the game will work and whether it will be necessary to play with others to fully enjoy Anthem.
“With Anthem we’re taking this problem head-on and structuring the entire game design to provide a specific solution for this,” commented the creative.
Hudson also promised that soon there will be more details on how they plan to face various problems, quite common in titles focused on the multiplayer online mode.
The developer commented that the players will decide how they want to create their story in the game world. From his perspective, this project has given BioWare the opportunity to experiment and offer some interesting innovations.
“We think it creates a unique experience where you have control over your own story, but your story is set in an ever-changing multiplayer world. And yes, even though Anthem is meant to bring out the best parts of playing as part of an online community, you can choose to play through the story with only your friends, or even on your own,” the director added.
Fortunately, it does not take long to learn more about the title, as it will be one of the strong games of Electronic Arts for E3 2018. Brendon Holmes, the creative director of the game, said they are working hard in what they will present at the important event.
As for its release date, we know that the game will debut between January 1 and March 31, 2019. The game was originally planned to debut this year, but in the end, it was delayed.
