Amy Hennig Talks About Uncharted Series Future, Says Lots of Material To Continue With

The revelation comes during an interview.

Amy Hennig is in a lot of talks of recent days: after leaving Electronic Arts recently, the author has been interviewed by various international newspapers and just during one of these meetings she has revealed to have many potential ideas for the future of Uncharted, although it is not mostly involved in the projects of Naughty Dog in any way.

During an interview with GameReactor, Hennig makes it known that “How would you continue it? I mean, that’s tough, because they kind of wrapped it up with a bow and had the flash forward. Look, I think there’s a lot of material there that you could continue with: Cassie, with the daughter, you could do flashback stories with Nathan Drake… you just look at Indiana Jones; there’s really not a limit. You can always jump back in and tell a story with an older character and that gives a whole different color to it, which is kind of cool, and you could do sort of the Young Indiana Jones version of Nathan Drake if you wanted to. I’m excited, because it sounds like the filmmakers are gonna do that actually with the Uncharted film and go back to an earlier time and stuff like that.”

After abandoning Naughty Dog, Amy Hennig started working on the Visceral Games project of Star Wars, after the closure of the studio and the new focus of the publisher, the writer has renegotiated her relationship with the publisher until completely getting free from Electronic Arts.

At the moment we do not know what Naughty Dog’s plans are for the future of Uncharted: after the huge success of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and the launch of the spin-off Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, the studio is focusing on The Last of Us Part 2, but we are confident that the Uncharted franchise will not be abandoned anytime soon.
