Ubisoft has announced that starting today Eagle Flight will support cross-platform play between PC and Playstation 4. This means that users of Playstation VR will be free to play with who owns Oculus Rift and vice versa. Even the HTC Vive version will present this feature at launch, which will take place on December 20.
Ubisoft has announced that all of its VR titles, inclusive Eagle Flight, will support cross-platform play between HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR.
David Votypka, senior creator at Red Storm, has confirmed that even Werewolves Within and Star Trek: Bridge Crew will enjoy this feature: “Making our VR titles cross-platform has been a goal of ours from the start and we’re happy to announce that Eagle Flight, Werewolves Within, and Star Trek: Bridge Crew will be playable cross-platform on PSVR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive,” said David Votypka.
“Our games feature a strong multiplayer experiences, so letting friends play together regardless of which headset they own will enhance the social nature of our games and let them be played the way we envisioned.”
Eagle Flight is currently available for PlayStation VR and Oculus Rift, for HTC Vive it is expected for December 20. Werewolves Within has launch date of 6 December and Star Tek: Bridge Crew will launch on March 14, all of them for the three main platforms of virtual reality.
