Adam Boyes PlayStation VP announces his departure from company
The vice president of third party relationships and technology group of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Adam Boyes, announced that he will leave PlayStation to devote the development of independent video games.
“After an incredible journey here at PlayStation, I’ve made the very hard decision to return to the world of game development,” said Boyes through Twitter. “The past 4+ years have been an absolutely amazing experience! I’d like to start out by thanking the incredible PlayStation Nation fans!”

After showing his gratitude to the fans, Boyes said that the company is in good hands, and that Sony has an incredible team that is dedicated to developing and publishing great titles.
“The best news is that we have an incredible team here so the development & publishing community & gamers are in GREAT hands,” he said.

Meanwhile, Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, used Twitter to wished Boyes good luck in his new journey. “Best of luck in your new endeavors my friend. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the next step in your career,” said Microsoft executive. “Thanks Phil – should be a wild ride. Thanks for being a classy platform leader at XBox,” Boyes replied.

Adam Boyes joined Sony in 2012. He had an active role as a figure of the company, appearing on stage at E3 and PlayStation Experience. Many fans will remember the video that is accompanied with Shuhei Yoshida “explaining” the steps to share games on PlayStation 4.
