In its transmission of Final Fantasy in the frame of E3 2016, Square Enix announced a new spin-off of Final Fantasy XV. It is simply called as A King’s Tale: Final Fantasy XV, a one side scrolling beat’em up title.
Square Enix today announced another game inserted in the Final Fantasy XV universe and which will be released on the same day it reaches the main game, that is, 30 September. A King’s Tale will be a game available for preorder bonuses, under certain conditions, for Final Fantasy XV!
This title will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from September 30, the day on which Final Fantasy XV debuts. The bad news is that the only way to acquire it is by pre-ordering the JRPG in some stores in the United States, Canada and the UK. At the moment, it is unknown whether this promotion will be available in other regions as well.
The events of A King’s Tale will take place 30 years before the events of Final Fantasy XV and follows the adventures of a young King Regis. The history of the spinoff will be presented as a fairy tale that is told by Noctis.
What do you think of this spinoff? Do you think Square Enix was inspired by the beat’em up Final Fantasy VII title that was created for some fans? Do tell us in the comments section below.
