If you are a fan of titles like BioShock and Borderlands, we have some very good news. According to the latest reports, 2K Games is working on a new FPS title that has not yet been revealed. This we know as the company is looking for new staff to take care of this project.
From its website, 2K Games published several job vacancies. Among them are the main animator, artist of environments and managers for the technical section, gameplay, and systems of this project.
Job offers are planned for the 2K Games headquarters in Novato, California, in the United States. Everything indicates that none of the applications are destined to other of its studios located in this locality, like Hangar 13.
The list of works does not really reveal much of this unannounced project. It is only confirmed that it will be an AAA production and that the game will feature a campaign. Additionally, it is added that story will have a great importance in this project. Also, it is inferred that it will be a sandbox.
There are those who think that these vacancies could be related to Borderlands 3. However, it should be noted that Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Software, said that 90% of the studio is working on that title. Additionally, Gearbox might be looking for a writer for Borderlands 3.
It is important to note that 2K Games claims that this is a title not yet announced, so we will probably know more about this FPS soon.
In related news, in May of this year, Christoph Hartmann left his position as president of 2K Games. Shortly thereafter, David Ismailer, who was vice president of Take-Two, took Hartmann’s job.
