Xbox One X Sells over 80000 Units In UK, Outpaces PS4 Pro Launch Sales

After the release on November 7th, there is a lot of curiosity to find out how the powerful Xbox One X came out the first week on sale. According to information from the United Kingdom, it was more than better in comparison with the Sony console.

GamesIndustry.biz has contacted major UK retailers to find out more about Xbox One X’s launch sales in the England: as reported, the Microsoft console has sold about 80000 units in the first week of presence on the market from 7 to 12 November.

This is a result similar to that recorded by Nintendo Switch in March on the English market and slightly higher than the PlayStation 4 Pro in November 2016, the launch of the enhanced version of PlayStation 4 stopped at around 50000 pieces sold in the country.

Most of the units sold belong to Project Scorpio, a limited edition that has left fans of the Xbox brand highly enthusiastic and eager to ensure its limited drive.

Among the games that have been bought with the console by the British players, the list includes Call of Duty WWII, Assassin’s Creed Origins, FIFA 18, Forza Motorsport 7 and Forza Horizon 3.

The new Microsoft console, for example, is very strong, more than many expected because of the high price, a sign that there is a market for high-performance “premium” consoles, even more expensive.

Given these achievements in the UK, we expect them to be replicated in the wider US and worldwide markets, confirming the success of the console. We will keep you up to date.
