Fable Legends Open Beta delayed till Spring 2016, registration open for Closed Beta
Lionhead Studios spoke about Fable Legends, which seems to be postponed to next year, as well as its open beta that will not happen until the spring of 2016. The developer suggests a more ambitious side of the project, which requires more time than expected gestation.
Being developed in Lionhead Studios, Fable Legends is the next title based on the popular role-playing/adventure game that appeared for the first time in 2004 on Xbox. This new episode will opt for the free to play business model and base its interest on cooperation with other players online.
Due for release on PC (Windows 10) and Xbox One in 2015, the title finally sees its release date postponed to next year. Consequently, its open beta, scheduled to be launched over the holidays year-end, also sees to be postponed to spring 2016.
In order to justify this, the studio has posted a post on the game’s official website announcing that “we didn’t anticipate just how big Fable Legends is becoming”, stating further “It’s simply the most ambitious game we’ve ever created at Lionhead.”
In order to be excused for this extra time, the studio is preparing to provide access to the closed beta of the title – currently active for 100,000 additional players. To take advantage, it is possible to register on the official website.
