Tales of Berseria will release in North America on January 24, Europe on January 27
Tales of Berseria will be launched on PC and PlayStation 4 in next year January 27 in Europe. The American users can purchase the title a few days earlier, on January 24. As expected, the PS3 version remains in the Japanese market.
Bandai Namco Games has announced that Tales of Berseria will arrive on January 24 in North America and the 27th of the same month in Europe, available in retail and digital format on PlayStation 4 and as a download from Steam on PC. The PlayStation 3 version of the game will remain confined to the Asian market and will not be published in the West.
Furthermore, it has been confirmed that in US a special limited edition will be sold and numbered (with a circulation of 10,000 copies), which will have a price of $149.99 USD. This edition is scheduled for the version of the PlayStation 4 console.
This edition includes the game in a metal box, figures of Velvet and Laphicet, a keychain retro style, a CD with a selection from the soundtrack of the game, the hardcover prequel novel of “A Witch’s Tale: A World Full of Deamons” and a book of strategy. As additional data, Sony said that the game will feature voices in Japanese.
Tales of Berseria is set in the same universe as Tales of Zestiria but with many changes. Apparently, due to a rare disease called Gomabyo (or disease of demon), the humans and animals of the central continent, called Glenwood, turn into beasts called Gyoma and has caused many wars. In this particular situation, the Seirei tribe uses the power of spirits as a tool and apparently is closely related to that disease.
Besides the battle system of the game it will be based on free fighting and a camera that can move freely and can assign special attacks to any button on the control and managing the movement with the left stick and the right camera.
