Nixxes Software and Crystal Dynamics have released the 1.06 patch for Rise of the Tomb Raider, aimed at solving the frame rate problems on PS4 Pro. It seems that the update has introduced a slight input lag for the controls.
With the latest patch, the 1.06, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have improved the frame rate of Rise of the Tomb Raider on PS4 Pro.
As reported in the technical analysis of Digital Foundry, the PS4 Pro version of Rise of the Tomb Raider suffered from a frame rate pacing issues when it decided to set the high resolution, privileged graphics quality at the expense of smoothness. The problem is very similar to that of Final Fantasy XV with the highest resolution option selected in the game menu.
The 1.06 patch should ensure a frequency of more stable update, but according to the users of Reddit it would introduce a problem of input lag, making the control less reactive than usual. The patch also fixes some bugs reported by players in recent weeks, however, they are not specified in the official changelog.
