Capcom is preparing a CG film of Resident Evil under the name of Resident Evil: Vendetta, which will debut in Japan in spring 2017. Now, as part of Tokyo Game Show 2016, the studio revealed more images on the film.
So Vendetta will include the participation of Leon S. Kennedy (Resident Evil 4), Chris Redfield (Resident Evil 5) and Rebecca Chambers (Resident Evil 0). This time, Capcom only showed new images of Leon and Chris.
Moreover, we do not know much about the plot, only that it will be held in an isolated mansion in the same way as the original game.
Resident Evil: Vendetta is written by Makoto Fukami and directed by Takanori Tsujimoto (Hard Revenge Milly, Ultraman X). Also, the creator of The Grudge, Takashi Shimizu, participates as executive producer for the project and the developer of Resident Evil, Hiroyuki Kobayashi is on board as executive supervisor. Recall that Kobayashi was also the producer of the first 2 animated series, movies Degeneration and Damnation.
Moreover, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, a live-action movie of the saga, will arrive in 2017 with the participation of Milla Jovovich. But if you’re into gaming, then you will get excited by Resident Evil 7, a title also arriving in January next year for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
