The players of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard may transfer their save data between the versions of the game available on Xbox One and Windows Store. As you know, this is one of the most important features of the program of Xbox Play Anywhere.
This information comes from an article by Dengeki which states: “the Windows Store version can share play data with the Xbox One version.” Subsequently, Capcom confirmed the news to IGN by a statement.
For now Capcom has not mentioned if Resident Evil 7 will be one of the first third-party releases to be part of the Play Anywhere program. So, it is better to wait for the distributor to share more information before it is taken for granted; while that happens do tell us, do you think Resident Evil 7 is a title for Play Anywhere?
The Xbox Play Anywhere program was revealed as one of the large innovation of Xbox at its E3 2016 conference. This is a system that allows players only have to buy one digital copy of some titles to enjoy on Xbox One or PC and features like cross-save.
In related news, this week Capcom made public that Resident Evil 7 on Xbox One S will support HDR. The company also finally showed the Collector’s Edition of this survival horror.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will debut on January 24 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
