Sony Interactive Entertainment has recently made available for download 4.06 firmware for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro. This update introduces no novelty whatsoever but simply fixes some bugs and improves the overall stability of the operating system.
Sony has just released the new system update 4.06 for your PS4. Once again, the “quality of system performance” is improved. This minor update for PS4 should allow us to enjoy greater stability of the machine, like other recent updates of the console.
The update weighs 312 MB and as usual the update is mandatory in order to continue shopping on the PlayStation Store and access the PlayStation Network that will be reserved by downloading and installing the new firmware as soon as possible.
In the absence of the full changelog, there are rumors that the update 4.06 will also serve to correct some of the issues that the new owners have found on PS4 Pro: reduced performance and frame rate in specific games, or problems related to image fidelity.
To download and install this update on your PS4 or PS4 Pro, you just have to turn on your console and follow the on-screen instructions. In addition you can also access the update from this direct download link, if you want to opt for an option to get the update on a USB and then proceed to update the console that way.
Sony continues to work to improve the stability of the OS of PlayStation 4, but for new features probably we will have to wait until 2017.
