PixelJunk series has given some really impressive games that are suitable for all ages. These games are bit different from the League of Legends game that we most commonly see on our gaming consoles and PC platform. PixelJunk on the contrary harnesses the strength of puzzle, obstacle and creates a mixture of addictive short games. Today we will be testing PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate edition.
PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate is only a 490mb game approximately that brings up some very interesting puzzle gameplay on your PC. The game will refresh your childhood memories. This game is suitable for all ages and has a central plot of search and rescue. There are upgrades, new puzzle and ample of places to explore. The game is quite comfortable to play on PC.
PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate requires a gamepad that will make this game easier, but still Keyboard/Mouse combination is not very complicated to understand. With this, the game is also having minimal graphics. So it is pretty obvious that it won’t demand a very high configuration. I had played some first few levels of this game that kept me glued constantly. This means this game is quite addictive. You can play, pass levels, and also various upgrades will help you to push your vehicle ahead deeper to rescue many other explorers who are stuck. PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate is actually a combination of PixelJunk Shooter 1 & PixelJunk Shooter 2. Both were released a few years ago. The new version of PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate is recreated by fusing both the editions and enhancing its graphic quality.
Gameplot:
PixelJunk Shooter takes you to a journey of different planets where explorers are stuck due to hostile environment condition. It’s your job now to find and rescue them from there. It is not a very fast or slow pace game. There is also no storyline either. Rather the game is having variety of levels and a static gameplay that lets you get engaged for hours, as there is no need to adjust yourself for new changes. It is easy to play. We had tested the game on PC. The common key combination of AWSD acts for moving the ship and other like Space key to generate instant escape effects.
Mouse is used to catch the people and pull them in ship. With this you can use the right click mouse to release missile to shoot enemies, aliens, and other various things. It is an interesting game. Minimal visual style lets you to run the game with ease. PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate also has an online version, where you can compete with others. The online version lets you to earn some in-game money. Depending on your stats, the game itself finds the match to battle on different planets. And when you win you can use the money to buy better weapons and upgrades.
Final Words:
PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate is a nice game. It is simple and yet very addictive to play. Having an online version is something I was not expecting. But this has expanded the gameplay to much longer. If you are done completing all the levels, you can still compete with your friends or others in online mode. On that basis you can deal with different challengers worldwide. PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate is a good one to add in your game library.
