Michael Pachter: GTA VI will not arrive until 2024

The well-known analyst Michael Pachter, who has been casting his predictions on the video game industry for years, is ready to talk about the future of Rockstar Games before E3 2017 begins, where he expects a new Metroid to be unveiled.

The analyst at Wedbush Securities believes that Rockstar Games right now “is a disaster” because they can not bring anything to the fair of Los Angeles. Pachter is only hopeful that some of Red Dead Redemption 2’s gameplay will show up, although he considers it unlikely.

In his opinion, fans of the Grand Theft Auto series will have to wait as little “until 2024” to play the next episode of the license, which could be Grand Theft Auto VI following the trail marked by the title launched in 2013.

Taking into account the launch schedule of the saga, that the next episode arrives in 2024 would suppose about ten years of waiting with respect to GTA V, an amount of time more than remarkable and that has no precedent within the last episodes.

As you know, Rockstar Games has not stopped supporting Grand Theft Auto V since its launch, and the main reason for this is that it has left them millions of dollars. This should not be taken by surprise, after all Grand Theft Auto V is the best selling game in the United States since 1995.

Currently, Rockstar Games is working on Red Dead Redemption 2, a game that will hit stores in the spring of 2018.
