Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: Two Offscreen Gameplay Video showing Battle Mode revealed

The YouTube channel “Nintendo World Report TV” has published two new videos of offscreen gameplay of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe recorded at the PAX East in Boston. The videos show the Battle mode, renovated in anticipation of the arrival of the game on Nintendo Switch.


Pax East 2017 is unfortunately over. On the other hand, we have got new gameplay video for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Indeed, the all new Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, soon available for the Nintendo Switch, surfaced at PAX East this year. So this time, it was the Battle Mode of the game that was the focus of attention.

So during a presentation of the event we were entitled to an overview of the different modes of Battle Mode. Shine Thief and Renegade Roundup modes were presented, in addition to new arenas/race tracks.

Let us note, in passing, that new options have also been added! In addition, it will be remembered that last time when we saw this game for the first time, was during the official unveiling of the Nintendo Switch.

Also during the American fair, a spokesman for Nintendo unveiled the resolution of the game: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will run at 1080p and 60 fps in Dock Mode with performance unchanged up to two players, while with the spit-screen activated for three or four players the frame rate will drop to 30 fps.

In portable mode, however, the title will run at 720p while the framerate was not disclosed. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be available on Nintendo Switch from the next month on April 28.
