Harvey Eagle: 2016 will be remembered as tipping point for Xbox One

Even though Playstation 4 is still the dominant console as regards for the total units sold, in the last months Microsoft has recorded better results than the competition.

Xbox One is having a good time. This is evident in sales which is reaping in recent months, in the great reception given to the review of Xbox One S and the Black Friday, where the console of Microsoft managed to outperform the competition as sales are concerned.

Although the PS4 is still the home console with better numbers in the current generation, one cannot ignore the streak of good sales that has had the Xbox One in the US, UK and Australia. Now, according to a report, Microsoft console also overtook Sony in Black Friday. About this good situation, Harvey Eagle, director of marketing for Xbox UK, said the following.

“The momentum is really important in this business, because it gives confidence to retailers, publishers, and to consumers. We are giving them confidence that they have made a right point. I think we’ll look back on 2016 as a tipping point for Xbox One.”

Thinking 2017 Eagle said that Microsoft is well positioned to “maintain and build” on the momentum of 2016. He highlighted games like Halo Wars 2 and Sea of Thieves considering that are among the best of the year and also spoke of the importance of Project Scorpio.

As for 2017, plans are to extend the momentum thanks to titles such as Sea of Thieves and Halo Wars 2, and the arrival of Scorpio later next year.
