Bayonetta Developer Platinum Games is working on a new IP not yet announced

In the course of a keynote held at BitSummit of Tokyo, the producer of PlatinumGames, Atsushi Inaba, has announced that the popular Japanese software company is currently working on a completely original IP.

The creators of Bayonetta could be working on a new IP, as hinted by the Producer, Atsushi Inaba, during the last BitSummit at Tokyo.

Before you know something about it, though, it may take some time: as stated by Inaba, in fact, they are still talking of a “formless, shapeless IP.” What we do know for sure is that the head of the project will be a new game director: Inaba seems absolutely curious to see how this move will help Platinum Games to grow even more in the future.

The producer also admitted that he did not know if Platinum will continue to keep the pace of a game for years, as it has been able to do this for some time; in any case, the studio remains fully intend to continue to develop new games for its fans.

It seems that the cancellation of Scalebound has not yielded particular shocks to Platinum Games: the start of a new project and rumors about Bayonetta 3 could not harm the image of an active studio and in good health, thanks to the success of Nier: Automata.
