Ark: Survival Evolved, the popular survival game with dinosaurs, is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but it seems that right now the developers have no plans to bring it on Nintendo Switch. Things may change in the future.

“We don’t have any current plans for the Nintendo Switch, though I will be closely watching how that console does in its launch,” says one of the developer of the game on the official forum of Ark. Most likely the team wants to get an idea on the installed base of Nintendo Switch, before they would seriously consider the possible porting of the game (with the related costs that would result).

Recently, ARK: Survival Evolved also got a new update dedicated to the console versions that will introduce, among other innovations, also the mode of “Procedurally Generated Maps”.

In addition, the new update provided by Studio Wildcard will see the arrival of Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for all remaining content already launched on PC up to version v253.x. Finally, there will be improved memory management and multiple failures which will be corrected that is still present and can cause crashes and freeze the game.

Recall that the new console of Nintendo Switch will come out on the market in the next month on March 3.
